"A trader holds up a court order instructing county askaris to return confiscated property."
To the shock of the traders the county enforcement office refused to comply with the orders citing that some of the items taken had no inventory and was difficult to know their owners and in some other instant said that the inspector in charge of enforcement was not in office and hence the business items could not be returned to their owners. Some of the items confiscated include saloon items, carpenters machines and others. The traders said that they have not paid licences since there is a pending court case where they have contested the payments since they are inconsistent and not bound by law. The traders have now called upon Governor Kimani Wamatangi to intervene on the matter and give business people a conducive working environment and call for a meeting of business traders and provide civic education.
