Kiambu Assembly push for Establishment of Epilepsy Committee

  Story by Channel22Media Reporter Kiambu county assembly has passed a motion urging the county government to establish a county epilepsy coordination committee to help persons living with epilepsy who have been neglected. According to the motion tabled by nominated MCA Mercy Nungari wants the committee which will include representatives from the county health services, ministry of health stakeholders of epilepsy care and research  institutions to establish mechanisms for incorporating management of epilepsy into primary health care provisions in county health facilities. "This will include ensuring epileptic drugs are availed to needy patients at subsidized prices at the county hospitals," said Nungari. JUBILEE PARTY: WE WILL REJECT A PREFERRED CANDIDATE IN KIAMBAA

Story by Channel22Media Reporter    The Kenya African National Union (KANU) party has said they will not field a candidate  in Kiambaa constituency and instead they will rally behind a candidate from the Jubilee party.   According to George Wainaina KANU national executive director said that in the spirit of alliance with JP and consultations with kiambaa residents it was agreed that kiambaa belongs to JP.   “Kanu has joined hands with other leaders who include Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and also the president is with us in the alliance.
